Libyan soldiers trained by Italian army.mov
A military training ground away from home. These are some of the hundreds of libyan civilians training at an army camp in Italy as part of a bilateral agreement between the two countries. Most of them fought against Gaddafi's regime, they now want to join Libya's new army. They are the first 340 troops of a total of 2000 to undergo a 14 weeks training. At the end of it, they will reach infantry platoon level. The training is part of the so called G8 compact initiative, aimed at rebuilding the new Libyan armed forces.
