Italian government crisis - First update
President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella has accepted Prime Minister Matteo Renzi's resignation. He will now start a process of consultation to pick a caretaker minister to govern the country until new elections in 2017. Matteo Renzi pledged to resign earlier this year should have he lost the constitutional reform he requested Italians to vote on. The "No" won 60% to 40%.
