Olives trees killed by exotic batteria

Hundreds of secular trees - some 500 years old - are being cut down to contain the epidemic. But scientists studying the problem say there is no quick solution. So far 800 thousand trees were contaminated. That's 10 percent of the region's total. The cost to local olive oil producers: 300 million dollars.
